About me
Rural Roots
I am the granddaughter of a grain farmer and a (former) equestrian, like my mother. I spent my high school years working shifts at the barn to pay for riding lessons and I rode competitively in college.
Cancer Survivor
I am a two-time blood cancer survivor who was diagnosed at age 3 and again at age 20. I use my experience with cancer to help advocate for affordable health care options, lifesaving research, and support programs for patients and their loved ones.
Proud Buckeye.
I am a proud alum of The Ohio State University with a degree in English and Psychology. I met my husband at Smith-Steeb Hall and finished my senior year while receiving chemotherapy so I could graduate on time with my friends.
